Great burritos...finally
While the east coast has some great italian food, I must admit that I miss some great mexican food! Well today I was treated to a breakfast burrito from the local shop in El Paso, courtesy of Jessica at Crazy Cat Cyclery. It has been the best part of the trip when the locals give up there hot spots for whatever it may be. I have ridden some of the best trails & had some of the greatest food! Well not much else to report from the road today besides lots of driving and several more cool shop visits. I really look forward to coming back to these shops next year to ride more local trails with the locals.Into the New Mexico sunset I drive. Hoping all is well with you!

So its been a couple of days, but here it goes. I have been in texas now for about 5 days and enjoying it! Texas is a great place with really cool people. The last 3 days have been spent with my new friends at Bike & Run Works in New Braunfels. All of the guys there are hilarious and love the 2 wheeled tools we call bikes! Todd, Matt, Cody and John run a cool shop that all the locals love. Friday afternoon Matt, Cody & I all went for a ride at a super cool trail that I forget the name of. That may be because I managed to get my helmet hooked in a low tree branch. Cody got a front row seat to what almost ripped me off of my bike. I was so busy watching all of the tricky rocks i never saw it coming, but it left its mark! Hah well we all had a great time as Matt & Cody got to both ride the new Tracers.
Saturday was my day off so I hung out at there shop for a while before I got antsy. I decided that i may forget how to use a shovel if i didn't use the brand new one that was in the Intense truck. It didn't take long before I was getting Todd to buy some more shovels for all of us to make a pump track behind his shop. Before long we had the 100' by 50' dirt lot converted to 5 berms & multiple rollers. The best part was getting a chance to ride it all in before we called it a great day!
This sunday was great for many reasons as we headed out for a longer xc ride at Matts favorite spot, Comfort. I quickly saw why as it was great single tract through the trees & rocks. It didn't take long before we had our first flat, Todds new Spyder FRO. Well one would think that between the shop owner, his employees & myself we would have the proper stuff to fix a flat. Nope, Matt brought schrader valves (the wrong ones), Todd let someone borrow his Co2 adapter & I had a faulty Co2 adapter. So Todd had 2 walk back as Matt, Cody & I continued on. When we all got back minus Todd, we found out that Todd had not made it back yet. Uhh ya he should have been back a while ago. Well long story short he just had to go check out this red barn that looked a lot like the one we started by...supoosedly. Oh ya i cant forget the "shower" we all got just before getting back into the vehicles. Needless to say we smelled like wet dogs on the way home, horrible!
Whew, after all that i am back on the road to El Paso driving 80 cause its Texas afterall! Well it was a great weekend guys thanks & keep up the great work & pump track. I WILL be back to ride it!
I also look forward to having them all out to California sometime to show them what mountains are, not like the ones they have. Oh & just so ya'll know we call dem things speed bumps. Haha thanks again guys for everthing!

So today a good friend told me about a bmx race close to the Chicago area that I just had to go to. Needless to say it was a great time and there was lots of cool people that were drooling over the new tracer, which proved its versatility again by being my bmx race bike in the cruiser class. The picture on the left is of my friend Russel just after he took a spin on the tracer. He was Stoked! He also promotes races in the philipines and is the only guy to have a neumatic gate to race bmx/4x on. Now I just need to head down there to check it all out!
The next shot is of our host for the weekend Chris and his boys who almost all of them won there classes! I got to race Chris in the cruiser class which was a great race all the way to the line! I should hopefully be getting racing pics soon so I will be posting them when possible!
Its been some time...
Since I have been home and also posted on here. Part of it is because I have been waiting for some pictures from a friend Brian. Most of it because I have been super busy/lazy. Well to keep this post from getting to long I will summarize with I have been on the road for the past 4 weeks for Intense Cycles. With the exception of flying home from Canada to put on the Race for Babies.
It looks like I will be on the road for about another 2 weeks showing off the new Tracer. I am excited but I am struggling with this cold that I have but heck its off to race BMX today and then watch the Blue Angels fly tomorrow here in Chicago!
Hope that all is well with you as I sign off...till tomorrow.
