Arizona Nationals

I always look forward to going to Arizona. Seems like it has always been good to me even though I am not totally ready to go this early in the season. This year started off with the Super Cool SuperD. Better known as a TT. The thing sucks from a Super D standpoint but it works great for a TT. Well It went horrible for me as I had NO leg speed at the bottom where it was really needed.
We won't even go into where I finished.

So I decided to take the Short track off because well I had no leg speed and I felt like NOT breathing in a bunch of dust before the XC. Man did I catch crap for that.

Finally the XC came and it was time to once again play in the desert! I actually got a better call up in the 6th row so I was stoked. I lined up next to my good buddy Amon. When we got going I looked up just in time to see a huge pile up beginning to happen to my left, it took Amon out and I had to hop over his front wheel. Then I got passed by a bunch because we slowed and I was in a tall gear and so now it was off to the single track. In all I ended up passing about 45 guys and worked my way into 34th. I was hoping for a better finish but it was all I could do. I was still stoked because I had to pass so many guys. AZ being good to me again, I am always smiling when I ride there and this race was no different!

Just a cool shot from Fontana Nationals compliments of Terry Martin. Thanks Terry!

Been a while

So I decided to start up on eof these because as some may have noticed my website has not been edited in a while. Well that is because 1 I do not have the software and 2 I forgot the password.

So a lot has happened since my site went into hibernation. I got and paid for my way to expensive of a PRO license. I ma promoting Weekly races at Vail lake and lots of other stuff I can't all remember.

Well for one I raced several of the winter series races before getting sick. And sick did I get. It was gnarly. I ended up winning 2 of the Winter series races and got 2nd in the other 2. It worked out well because I won the series and was hoping for a better call up at the Fontana Nationals.

I asked Larry Longo if he could help me out but his reponse was "Oh you don't want to start up there." "Well I sure as heck don't want to start in the back," and I did. Was the very last row, in fact I would not even call it a row. Sparing the details I moved up quite well with the help of Amon Pease and then managed to pich flat early in the race. I fixed it then proceeded to catch back up and then again on lap 3 did the exact same thing again at the exact same spot. Walked all the way back to the front feed zone grabbed another wheel and then finally finished the race in 4th. Well Ok I was a few laps back but oh well.
